Directed by award-winning filmmaker Margaret Byrne, Post Conviction follows the extraordinary journey of Roosevelt Myles, a Chicago man who fought for decades to clear his name after a wrongful conviction, and Jacky Burks, who was coerced into confessing to a crime he didn’t commit. Filmed over the course of five years, the documentary captures their courage, resilience, and pursuit of justice in a system designed to resist accountability.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with filmmaker Margaret Byrne, and film participants Roosevelt Myles and Jacky Burks.
